December Goals

We are in the last month of 2018 and it’s been a crazy year! So let’s get into some quick goals I’m setting for this month.

  • Enjoy the Reindeer Run 10K (no matter what pace I run at): I don’t know if I got my racing bug out at the Turkey Trot and my sub-25 minute 5K but I’m not feeling the need to run for a PR at my 10K next weekend. Instead, I’m going to go have fun and enjoy my last race of 2018 (plus try to keep warm).

  • Continue to do hip-opening stretches after runs (I’ve been trying to at least do pigeon pose and I’ve been feeling much better on my runs).

  • Continue my nightly meditation practice and using the Insight Timer app (which has tons of guided meditations for free!)

  • Don’t be afraid to head on the treadmill for runs if it feels safer (especially since it’s getting dark so early and we’ve had our first snowfall that’s going to stick around)

  • Enjoy the holidays! It’s going to be a very busy and exciting Christmas so I’m glad that I’ve got a long break from work for it.
