February Faves

It’s been a quick month so let’s get into a couple of my favorite things from this month!

The Wayward Children series by Seanan McGuire

I love this series, I read the first book in November and was hooked. They are quick reads (less than 200 pages) but a really interesting take on fantasy. I loved how Seanan created the idea of how these different worlds are connected to our own and what happens to the children who stumble through the doorways into them. Now I have to wait an entire year for the fourth book in the series…

A Very Fatal Murder

Mike introduced me to this podcast from The Onion and I listened to all 7 episodes in an afternoon. It’s a very good spoof of shows like Serial in which a podcaster goes to Nebraska to explore an unsolved murder. It was a great comedic break during the workday and goes by so quickly (I believe all the episodes are under 15 minutes).

Ticket to Ride

I first played this game at knitting group earlier in the month and I love it! It’s super easy to learn but really strategic as you try it build train routes across the board. Mike and I just started playing the app version yesterday and it’s super fun (especially since I have a little bit of an advantage over him since I’ve played before).

What have some of your favorite things been in February? Let me know in the comments!
