One year ago today, I launched Oatmeal Runner with my first blog post. I was a month out from my fifth half marathon and less than two months out from training for my first marathon. Now I’ve been through one full marathon training cycle, am a month out from my second marathon and have grown so much through blogging.
Seriously, blogging has opened a new world to me. I can get all my thoughts out about running, working out and eating plus I’ve become part of the awesome online running community. I cannot wait to see what year two brings for Oatmeal Runner!
But first, let’s take a look back at some of my first posts, some of my favorite posts and some of the most popular posts.
Who wears short shorts?: The post that started it all on Oatmeal Runner
How can your SO support your running: I’ve seriously been crying this cycle because Mike is so supportive, he’s been getting the bed all ready for my naps post-long run and making me lunch!
Twin Cities Marathon Race Recap: Of course this is the most popular post (so far)!
Five ways to beat treadmill boredom: It’s April and I’m still doing some runs on the treadmill, thank you Minnesota.
Seattle Honeymoon: Part One, Two and Three: If you didn’t know, we are coming up on our first wedding anniversary in just over a month! I’ve been joking that the Eau Claire Marathon is our anniversary trip since it’s a week before our anniversary.
What are you looking forward to in the next year? Anything you want to see on Oatmeal Runner? Let me know in the comments!
