Weekly Workout Report: January 7-13

This week was a pretty busy one! We’ve let everyone know that baby Thiel is coming this summer, I learned that somedays won’t go as planned and I got back to running by the river. Let’s get into it!

Monday, January 7

After two weeks of no class due to the holidays, it felt great to get back in the saddle at spin class! Plus I got in a short strength training workout right before.

Tuesday, January 8

3.07 miles ~ 31:42 ~ 10:19 min/mile

Finished another awesome Zwift run on the streets of London! Now that I've gotten used to the platform, I'm loving it even more. Keep a lookout later this week for why I love it!

Wednesday, January 9

3 miles ~ 31:46 ~ 10:34 min/mile

A nice little treadmill tempo run through rainy London via Zwift I love that there's a cooldown built right into the workout (because I never do it on my own).

Thursday, January 10

I took a complete rest day on Thursday, just getting in my 10,000 steps because I was so exhausted all day long. Since the beginning of my pregnancy, I’ve been pretty tired by the end of the day but today was just all day exhaustion. I even left work a little early and took a nap when I got home. It’s hard to “skip” a workout day but I’m learning to be kind with myself and listen to my body since I’m growing a little human.

Friday, January 11

I was feeling much better on Friday (especially after hearing baby’s heartbeat for the first time!) and got in a strength training and cardio session.

Saturday, January 12

4 miles ~ 41:09 ~ 10:16 min/mile

Winter running has turned into a lot of treadmill time since finding out I was pregnant (since dark + ice is not a great combination) or running around Como since it's close by and I didn't feel like driving.

But today, I got in a great run down by the river! At almost 11 weeks, I'm already having to walk up some hills but I still feel like I'm flying down them. It felt great to get back to usual weekend running route for the first time in a couple of weeks.

Sunday, January 13

5 miles ~ 53:19 ~ 10:39 min/mile

I wanted to get in six miles this morning but only got in five. By the time I got to mile four, I was feeling pretty exhausted and decided to cut it short. And it was a good thing I did because I got home, had a smoothie and stretched/foam rolled, showered...and took a two-hour nap.
