Weekly Workout Recap: December 31- January 6

We’ve finally finished off 2018 and the first week of 2019 is over! I still had a couple days off of work but it was a tough transition after a couple of weeks off. Let’s get into it!

Monday, December 31


Finishing up 2018 with one last weights and cardio workout at the gym. I can't wait for everything 2019 has in store!

Tuesday, January 1

3 miles ~ 31:36 ~ 10:30 min/mile

Starting off 2019 with a treadmill run! I was hoping to get in a run trying out the Zwift platform but was having some connection issues (operator error, I hadn’t tightened the battery cover enough!) so I just switched to my usual run the finish out my miles. But I'm super excited by what I saw on the Zwift platform and can't wait to give it another go!

Wednesday, January 2

3.1 miles ~ 32:55 ~ 10:38 min/mile


Now that I figured out I didn't tighten my RunPod cover enough yesterday (🙄) I had an awesome first run on the Zwift platform! It was so nice to have a workout planned for me and all I had to do was follow along. Plus it pushed me along more than I normally would on the treadmill.

As excited as I am for running outside this weekend (woo for uppers 30s in January), I'm also really excited to get back on the treadmill for another workout!

Thursday, January 3

A quick weights and cardio session after work. I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday, my body is in need of a rest day and some cardio. Plus, going back to work after nine days off is a little rough.

Friday, January 4

A nice, easy yoga session after work plus getting in an extra long walk at work because of the gorgeous weather was just what I needed. A little mental break plus light physical activity helped me feel so much better at the end of the day.

Saturday, January 5

4 miles ~ 42:33 ~ 10:37 min/mile

Finally got outside for a run, I haven't run outside since December 23rd! Tried taking it slow and ended up with some walking breaks but it felt great.

Sunday, January 6

6 miles ~ 1:03:15 ~ 10:32 min/mile

First six mile run since the Reindeer Run 10K! Colder than yesterday and there was more ice on the paths so I took it slower and it felt great.
