Are you looking to mix up your racing this fall? Why not check out Pumpkins in the Park 5K in Chicago on October 19? Here’s some quick reasons why I think this race looks awesome (and why I’d love to run it in the future)!

I’ve run in Chicago (along the lake front in December) and I’ve loved it. Knowing how much better fall weather is than winter, it can only get better with an October race. Pumpkins in the Park 5K is a further north on the lake front than I’ve run but there’s nothing better than lakeside running!

Free Photos

I love when races offer free photos and it’s becoming more and more common. So a big plus to Pumpkins in the Park 5K is that they have free photos! Especially if you decide to run in costume.

Fall Weather

The Midwest has amazing weather in the fall. Sure it can be a little rainy but the temperatures are perfect for running without being covered in sweat or layers. Plus, the fall colors are always gorgeous to look and the race takes place in Lincoln Park.
