February is almost over and even though it was a short month, it was a snowy one in St. Paul. We’ve already gotten over 30 inches of snow this month with another storm hitting on the day this post went live. So let’s get into some of my favorite things.
Nivea Cocoa Butter Body Cream
Between winter weather and the fact that my body is growing as I get further into pregnancy, I’ve been slathering myself in lotion. And my favorite one is the Nivea Cocoa Butter Body Cream. Since it’s a tub, I can scoop out a bunch instead of standing there pumping the same amount into my hands. And I’ve found it really helps cut down on the belly itchiness, I can tell when I don’t reapply after my shower because within an hour I’m scratching away.
At this point, I’m over treadmill running. But with all the snow we’ve been getting, I haven’t had to chance to move my weekday runs outside yet (although once we stop getting hit with weekday snow storms I’ll be doing that since sunset is almost at 6 p.m. now). But I’ve been loving getting in runs outside again. They are getting tougher the more pregnant I get (and snow packed sidewalks aren’t helping) but it makes me feel so much better once I’m done than doing the same run on a treadmill.
I don’t know why but I’ve never bought I pair of leggings before now. I have two pairs of maternity leggings and they are the most comfortable thing. Especially since I’m in the awkward in-between phase of my pre-pregnancy pants being too small and maternity pants being slightly too big. Maternity leggings solve the whole wearing a belly band/folding over the band on maternity pants and constantly rearranging my pants because they just fit correctly. Pus they feel like I’m wearing comfy pj pants even though I can dress them up for work. Best piece of clothing ever!
