Another month down and a bunch more treadmill runs down due to an extremely snowy month. But I did manage to get in some runs outside (and have a goal to do more in March in hopes this weather gets better). Let’s get into my February running!
I had six runs outside in February (two more than January), including two weekday runs outside! I’ll be starting out March on the treadmill since it’s a weekend of single digits highs but I’m hopeful that we will warm up as we get closer to spring and I’ll get more runs in outside. Plus, it will be helpful to get in some longer runs outside as the Hot Chocolate 15K is on April 13 and I need to get used to running on some hills.
My mileage and pace dropped pretty drastically in February between getting more pregnant and training for a 15K. My longest runs was four miles in February and I only had three of those, most of my runs were two miles. Even though I had some pretty slow runs, both on the treadmill and outside, my last run of the month shows I still have some kick in my legs if I can just run outside on a hard packed surface. I had two awesome miles at a 10:50 average pace and pretty even splits!
