Every single month seems to be going by faster and faster. It must be the better weather we are getting in Minnesota! So let’s get into how I did with goals in April and what my goals are for May.
Have fun at Hot Chocolate 15K
I had so much fun at the Hot Chocolate 15K, even though we went from spring back to winter for race day. The course is one of my favorite running routes, that I hadn’t gotten to run in a while, and the post-race swag was awesome! Check out my full race recap too.
Read 3 books (including one pregnancy/baby related book)
I read two baby-related books in April, plus finished a good fiction audiobook too! Reading during my non-running cardio is still really helpful, I completely read both of the baby-related books during cardio time.
Bringing Up Bebe by Pamela Druckerman
Happiest Baby on the Block by Harvey Karp (loved this one and put it on our baby registry)
The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
I made it halfway through the Nuubie Challenge for April but had to stop since the daily lunges were starting to bother me. But I did do the lunges on my cross-training days through the end of the month.
I haven’t done yoga at all in April and I’m starting to feel it more as I get more pregnant. I’m having overall more soreness but especially in my back. So it’s time for me to get back on the Friday yoga train to see if that will help out.
BibRave Strava Streak
If you didn’t see my post last week, you still have time to join in on the BibRave Strava Streak in May! Just join the BibRave Strava group and run or walk a mile every day in May (plus log it using Strava).
Getting Organized for Baby
I’ve been feeling like I have more energy lately and I really want to take advantage of this to start getting the apartment ready for baby boy. I did a pretty good first round of cleaning up the spare bedroom (where we’ll put the nursery) so hopefully we’ll get that more set up in May and I’ll get some more cleaning and prep work done.
