Now that I’m in my third trimester, I’ve been getting a lot of wear out of my maternity clothing. Most of my clothing is maternity sized (unless I pull the random medium sized t-shirt or am working out). So today I’m sharing some of my favorite pieces of maternity clothing plus what I’m wearing while I workout!
I never wore leggings before getting pregnant. But they were one of the first things I ordered and they are my favorite piece of maternity clothing. I’m going to be so sad when it’s too warm to wear leggings because they are so comfortable! It’s like wearing pjs but I can dress them up for work or just throw on a t-shirt if I’m just hanging out at home.
Dresses are another piece I didn’t wear much before pregnancy. But now that it’s getting warmer outside, I’ve been loving the two dresses I got from Old Navy for work wear. Not only is it hot outside but I’m just warmer overall (carrying a growing human inside of you will do that). Plus, I’ve been experiencing swelling in my legs so not being constricted by pants feels so good (especially at the end of the day).
Old Navy Tops
I’ve made several orders from Old Navy for maternity clothing and every single one has included some staple tops. Long sleeved, short sleeved and tank tops, I’m pretty well set with comfortable pieces that are easy to mix and match with different bottoms. Which also means that I can sneak them into my work wardrobe by wearing them with a skirt or dress pants even though they are more casual.
So far, I’ve only had to buy one piece of workout clothing during my pregnancy! I bought a pair of capris back in the second trimester so I’d have an extra pair as I got further along (but I didn’t buy maternity sized ones, just went up two sizes which has been working out great). Otherwise, my other pairs of capris and longer shorts still fit fine with the bump and my tops were bought looser fitting to begin with. They aren’t too loose anymore but they still fit (although I’m getting down to mostly tank tops that don’t ride up). So hopefully what I have will last me through these last 11 or so weeks of pregnancy!
