Oatmeal Runner Reviews... GoSili Straws

I love being a BibRave Pro because I get to test out so many different things and the best part is, I don’t even have to be running or working out for some of them! Plus I get introduced to new brands that I haven’t heard of before.

Recently, I got a bunch of GoSili Straws to test out. And by a bunch, I mean nine which includes three different sizes and carrying cases. These straws are 100% silicone which makes them awesome for a couple of different reasons:

  • They are made out of a non-toxic, BPA free material that is recyclable.

  • They are durable, easy to fold (if needed, the carrying case could fit into my back pocket) and easy to clean. Dishwasher safe or you can boil to sterilize them.

  • They are safe for hot or warm beverages, you could even throw your coffee mug into the microwave straw and all to reheat it.

  • I prefer the feel of the silicone in my mouth to a plastic or metal straw, plus they come in bright colors.

One thing I’ve loved is the different sizes of straws. I have seven regular width straws which I’ve been using most of the time but I also got an extra-wide and an extra-long straw. I haven’t gotten a chance to use the extra-long straw but from what I’ve seen it’s the perfect length for tall glasses and tumblers.

The extra-wide straw has been perfect for smoothies, especially since I like mine thick and have been adding in oatmeal. My go-to smoothie recipe this past couple of weeks has been:

  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt

  • 1/2 cup oats

  • a banana

  • several handfuls of frozen kale

  • peanut butter
